Our Areas of Impact
Education
Investing in the Next Generation
Education has long been an important part of BCA-USA’s commitment to opportunity and community advancement.
Through scholarships and educational initiatives, BCA-USA has supported students in Bali Nyonga as well as members’ children in the United States. As of 2026, BCA-USA has provided more than $60,000 in scholarship and educational support.
Our educational initiatives reflect an investment not simply in today’s students, but in the people who will shape tomorrow’s communities.

Health
Strengthening Care and Supporting Lives
Access to healthcare can transform and save lives.
BCA-USA has supported healthcare in Bali Nyonga through initiatives including an ambulance and ambulatory equipment, medication, hospital beds, monitors and other medical supplies for Bali District Hospital and surrounding health facilities.
Our commitment to health also extends to prevention and education. Community health fairs connect residents with volunteer medical professionals for screenings, health education, and greater awareness of personal and community health.
Together, these initiatives help strengthen both access to care and the health knowledge available within our community.
Water
Meeting an Essential Need
Clean and reliable water is fundamental to a healthy community.
BCA-USA funded and installed a water catchment and supply system serving the communities in Bali Nyonga. As of 2026, the system remains in service and is maintained locally.
Projects like this demonstrate the value of investing not only in immediate needs, but also in infrastructure capable of continuing to serve the community long after a project is completed.
Energy
Powering Essential Services
Reliable electricity is particularly important where healthcare is concerned.
BCA-USA has supported the installation of solar power for local hospitals, helping critical services continue during electrical outages—including wards, operating theatres, and systems requiring refrigeration. This is an example of how practical investments in infrastructure can directly strengthen essential community services.
Humanitarian Relief
Standing With Our Community
When our community faces hardship, BCA-USA responds.
Through humanitarian relief initiatives, the Association has provided support to families affected by crisis in Cameroon’s North West Region. This work represents an important part of what community means to us: showing up for one another when support is needed most.
Our Flagship Project
The Bali Multipurpose Center: A Vision Built for Generations
The Bali Multipurpose Center (MPC) represents BCA-USA’s most ambitious investment in the future of Bali Nyonga. What began as a vision for a permanent community library resource has grown into a space envisioned to bring people together through education, health and wellness, technology, culture, economic opportunity, and community engagement.
Built through years of collective commitment and generosity, the MPC tells a story of how a diaspora can turn a shared dream into something tangible at home.
Today, that story is entering a new chapter—as BCA-USA works toward revitalizing and completing the Center for the generations it was created to serve.
The story continues. The vision remains. The future is ours to build.

Our work continues.
As the needs of Bali Nyonga evolve, so must the ways we serve. BCA-USA continues to identify, evaluate, and support initiatives capable of creating meaningful and sustainable impact.
Our Constitution gives the Board of Directors responsibility for evaluating, prioritizing, and reviewing implementation of Association projects, as well as contributing to long-term strategic planning.
Our goal is not simply to complete projects.
It is to build capacity, create opportunity, strengthen community, and leave something meaningful for the generations that follow us.
