Who We Are
Our Story
The Bali Cultural Association USA (BCA-USA) was founded in 1987 to bring together Bali people living in the United States, preserve and promote our cultural heritage, strengthen the bonds of community, and maintain a meaningful connection to Bali Nyonga, Cameroon.
What began as a gathering place for members of the Bali community in America has grown into a vibrant national association connecting generations, chapters, families, and friends of Bali across the United States and beyond.
BCA-USA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and a community where Bali people and friends of Bali come together to celebrate our heritage, support one another, engage with issues affecting our people, and contribute to the continued development of Bali Nyonga. These purposes closely reflect the objectives established in the BCA-USA Constitution.
We are more than an association. We are a community connected by heritage and united by purpose.
To preserve and promote the rich cultural heritage of the Bali Nyonga people, strengthen connections among Bali people and friends of Bali, and mobilize our collective resources to advance education, health, community development, and meaningful opportunities in Bali Nyonga and the diaspora.

Heritage
Our culture is at the heart of who we are.
Across generations and across continents, BCA-USA works to keep the heritage of Bali Nyonga alive through our language, traditions, music, dance, traditional regalia, food, values, and community practices.
From Mungaka spoken in our homes and gatherings to Cultural Night at our annual Convention, our heritage provides a connection between those who came before us, those living today, and the generations that will follow.
For younger generations growing up in the diaspora, BCA-USA provides opportunities not simply to learn about their heritage, but to see it, hear it, speak it, wear it, celebrate it, and make it their own.
Culture connects us to where we come from—and to one another.
Community
BCA-USA is also about community.
Through chapters across the United States, our annual Convention, leadership gatherings, cultural programs, youth engagement, and community activities, members have opportunities to build relationships that extend far beyond organizational meetings.
Our chapters serve as the local arms of the Association, creating spaces where members and families can gather, celebrate, support one another, welcome new members, and remain connected to the larger BCA-USA community.
From one generation to the next, these relationships continue to strengthen the community that BCA-USA was created to serve.

Through initiatives in education, healthcare, community development, technology, humanitarian support, and cultural preservation, BCA-USA has worked to respond to community needs while investing in opportunities for the future.
From scholarships and educational programs to healthcare initiatives, clean water, community infrastructure, vocational training, and our flagship Bali Multipurpose Center, our projects reflect a longstanding commitment to service.
