Our Flagship Project. A Vision for Generations.
In the heart of Bali Nyonga stands a vision years in the making.
The Multipurpose Center (MPC) is BCA-USA’s flagship development project—a permanent community resource envisioned to bring people together through education, health and wellness, technology, culture, community engagement, and economic opportunity.
What began as a vision for a community library evolved into something much greater: a multipurpose center designed to serve the changing needs of Bali Nyonga and surrounding communities.
It is more than a building. It is an investment in people, possibility, and the future.
The Vision
The vision for the MPC has always centered on creating a place where knowledge is shared, opportunities are created, culture and community come together, and people of different generations can learn and grow.
The Center is envisioned around four major areas:
Education Center
A space dedicated to learning, training, networking, skills development, and educational opportunity for children, youth, and adults.
The Education Center will support literacy and lifelong learning, provide opportunities for workshops and training, create spaces where people can exchange knowledge and build professional and community networks, and help connect individuals with resources that can expand their opportunities.
It will also provide an important space for preserving and teaching Mungaka, helping ensure that the language of Bali Nyonga continues to be learned, spoken, and passed from one generation to the next.
Health & Wellness Center
A focal point for health education, preventive care, counseling, wellness programs, health fairs, and other community health initiatives designed to strengthen the well-being of individuals and families.
Information Technology Center
A space designed to expand access to computers, technology, digital literacy, internet connectivity, training, and the opportunities of an increasingly connected world.
The Center can help bridge the digital divide while creating new possibilities for education, communication, entrepreneurship, and professional development.
Convention & Community Facilities
A gathering place for conferences, meetings, cultural programs, celebrations, training sessions, community events, and other activities that bring people together.
Beyond serving the community, these facilities also create opportunities for the Center to generate revenue and contribute toward its long-term sustainability.

Building Opportunity
From its earliest conception, the MPC was designed not only to provide services, but also to help create opportunity and greater self-sufficiency.
Through education, training, technology, networking, entrepreneurship, and community engagement, the Center has the potential to connect people with knowledge, skills, relationships, and resources that can help them move forward.
Its meeting, event, and commercial spaces also offer opportunities to generate revenue that can contribute to the Center’s continued operation.
The goal is not simply to build a facility. It is to build opportunity.
The Journey
The MPC represents years of commitment from BCA-USA members, leaders, committees, chapters, donors, and supporters who believed in creating something lasting in Bali Nyonga.
Over the years, the project moved from vision to construction, with significant progress made on the physical facility and surrounding property.
The journey has been long, but the vision has endured.
A New Chapter
Today, BCA-USA has an opportunity to build upon everything that came before.
The next chapter of the MPC is about assessment, revitalization, completion, and sustainability—taking an important investment made by generations of BCA-USA members and moving it closer to becoming the active community resource it was created to be.
As that work progresses, the vision remains clear:

- Where a young person can develop a new skill.
- Where Mungaka can be taught to another generation.
- Where technology can open a door to opportunity.
- Where professionals and entrepreneurs can connect and exchange ideas.
- Where health and wellness can be promoted.

- Where a community can gather.
The Future
The Bali Multipurpose Center is ultimately a story about what becomes possible when a community chooses to invest beyond itself.
It connects the diaspora to home.
It connects education to opportunity, culture to generations, and one generation’s sacrifice to another generation’s future.
And it represents BCA-USA’s continuing commitment to creating something in Bali Nyonga that can serve long after those who first envisioned it.
